Custom Heroscape Hexes

I have always been curious about molding and casting, but I have always been a bit hesitant to try it. I thought that it would be difficult or too finicky. But I recently completed my collection of Heroscape, and I wanted some custom hexes. So I decide this would be a good place to start learning about molding and casting.

My plan was to create some single water hexes that were taller than the water hexes that were produced for the game. My thinking was that I could use them for waterfalls.

Waterfall are not easily accomplished in Heroscape. Thus, it was a necessity to create my own pieces to accomplish this.

I began my research on youtube and the like, and picked up some supplies locally. With all supplies at the ready and a single ground hex at my disposal, I gave it a shot. It was pretty simple to create the mold and cast. The final product came out pretty sweet. With this project planning is a must as it takes some forethought and spacial planning.
