Garlic & Herb (compound) Butter

Ingredients

1/2 c (or 1 stick) of unsalted butter*

2 TB Italian Parsley (fresh finely chopped)

1.5 tsp Dill (fresh finely chopped)

1 tsp (heaping) Thyme (fresh finely chopped)

1 tsp Rosemary (fresh finely chopped)

2 cloves Garlic (minced)

1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

  1. Sit out butter and allow to soften.
  2. Prepare (chop/mince) herbs.
  3. Combine herbs, garlic, salt, and pepper with butter.
  4. Use a mixer or fork to combine ingredients completely until well distributed through butter.
  5. Place butter on wax paper and roll in to a log.
  6. Place log of butter into fridge or into the freezer to eat later.

*Salted butter can be used. Do not add the listed salt ingredient if you use salted butter.

Also, I have used the recipe replacing butter with vegan butter and it has worked great. Be sure to check the vegan butter ingredients to determine if there is already salt added. If so, do not include the listed salt in the recipe.
